About
My Values
Healthy diet and lifestyle can help prevent, manage, and treat many of the diseases that ail us today.
The foundation of a healthy diet is a variety of unprocessed or minimally processed food and dishes we make from them.
Food is more than just nutrition, it is connection, affection, and care that we share as humans. It should be nutritious and tasty.
Each individual has unique needs that need to be addressed with personalized and sustainable strategies.
As a provider, I am here to offer support, accountability, information, and advice. I am not here to judge clients for where they are in their journey. It is the client’s responsibility to take ownership of their journey.
My Education and Experience
With years of experience in nutrition research, community nutrition, and clinical nutrition, I offer my clients a well-rounded perspective on health and wellness. I use a client-centered approach, working with them to identify personalized, evidence-based strategies to overcome their unique nutrition challenges.
I start with a comprehensive initial evaluation where we discuss medical and family history, physical signs and symptoms, labs, dietary preferences/choices, exercise, sleep, self-care, usual routine, and food/nutrition history, and much more. Together we design a plan of action to reach their health, wellness and/or physique goals. Follow-ups are a time for support and accountability but also an opportunity to readjust the plan as needs change. I pride myself in providing close care for all my clients.
My Practice and My Approach

I believe each client needs and deserves a unique plan of action to help them reach whatever goals they may have. I start with a comprehensive initial evaluation where we discuss medical and family history, physical signs and symptoms, laboratory exams, dietary preferences and choices, exercise, sleep, self-care, usual routine, and food and nutrition history, among others. Together we narrow down their health, wellness and/or physique goals and design a plan of action. Follow-ups are a time for support and accountability but also an opportunity to readjust the plan as needs change. I pride myself in providing close care for all my clients.
My Background and Personal Life
I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil but currently live in the New England region of the United States. If you follow me on social media (Instagram: @caroldearaujo.rdn), you will note I share experiences from both cultures and address both English and Portuguese speakers with the content I share.
I have been wonderfully blessed with a family that I get to care for every day. So much of what inspires me and what I share comes from experiences with my immediate and extended family as well as friends. I love to cook and try new recipes, hit the gym, garden with my little ones, exercise and just spend time with my loved ones. I am very curious and like to explore anything, especially topics related to wellness and nutrition.
